New Year in Monteverde. The high season is just starting with days full of hard work and lot of new friends from all over the world. Also, the Train Tour up in the hill of San Gerardo is nice new attraction for families with kids. This Train Forest goes through a private reserve just next to the Children´s Eternal Rainforest.
Also this time a year the Monteverde Cloud Forest and Santa Elena town host many birds that are flying from Northamerica to the south. Some other bird species are more common to see as the Bell Bird, the Emerald Toucanet, Clay Colored Robin (Costa Rica´s National Bird).Our region is a bird paradise and the hummingbirds are part of the inhabitants.
Close to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve are many excellent things to experience for travelers of any age. This is a peaceful and relaxing retirement region that additionally features the wild and scenic Monteverde Cloud Forest.
